Bijal MENONFrench Teacher & Founder, Indo French HubEnseignante de français depuis plus de 18 ans et titulaire de DALF C1, j’ai fondé Indo French Hub (indofrenchhub.com), un organisme qui travaille pour la promotion de la langue et la culture françaises en Inde. Je suis issue d’une formation en sciences de l’éducation Master of Education, en philologie (Bachelor of French Studies) et Master of Arts (French). Je suis aussi titulaire d’une licence et d’un master en commerce. Lors de mon parcours universitaire, j’ai fait des formations courtes et des ateliers à l’Alliance Française de Bombay, à l’Université Stendhal de Grenoble, l’Université de Strasbourg. J’ai dispensé des cours de français à plus de 3000 collégiens et lycéens dans le cadre du soutien scolaire et j’envisage de former plus d’apprenants au Français Langue Étrangère dans les années à venir. J’ai également travaillé dans différents établissements publics d’enseignement et actuellement m’occupe de la gestion d’Indo French Hub. J’organise des échanges scolaires, les séjours linguistiques pour les étudiants et les professeurs de FLE, les cours de français en ligne, French Cine Hub et les ateliers pédagogiques.

Amrita RAGHUNANDANFrench Expert and TrainerActuellement formatrice indépendante avec plus de 45 années d’expérience professionnelle, Amrita Raghunandan a été professeure à l’Alliance Française de Madras pendant 22 ans. Elle a enseigné brièvement à SIES College et ML Dahanukar à Mumbai et à Women’s Christian College, MOP Vaishnav College, Madras Institute of Technology et Anna University à Chennai. Après un M.A. French de l’Université de Mumbai, elle a reçu une bourse de 2 ans pour étudier en France et a obtenu un diplôme CREDIF de FLE ainsi qu’une Maîtrise de Lettres Modernes de l’Université Paul Valéry, Montpellier. Elle a aussi eu l’opportunité d’assister à plusieurs stages de perfectionnement en France.

Adrien PAYETDirecteurEnseignant, comédien et formateur de formateurs, Adrien Payet est spécialiste de l’enseignement du français par le jeu et le théâtre. Il publie en 2010 chez CLE International l’ouvrage Activités théâtrales en classe de langue et anime des formations de formateurs et des missions d’expertise dans une cinquantaine de pays. Il développe de nombreuses formations sur les thèmes de la pédagogie active et de l’innovation en classe de langue. Il est co-auteur de 17 ouvrages de FLE chez CLE International. Il est également rédacteur de la revue Le français dans le monde depuis sa 400ème parution.

Out of practice of speaking an advanced level of French and due to absence of francophones, I was losing interest in speaking/listening/reading the language. Thanks to this Atelier, I was able to regain interest and enthusiasm for French. During the Atelier, we were introduced to quite a few nuances of the advanced level of language and brushed up on the forgotten vocabulary. The small working group of participants was equally encouraging. Mr Riaan George has a knack for choosing topics that will make the participants want to communicate their opinions and thoughts. Furthermore, he gives equal attention and opportunities to each participant.
I liked the way M. Riaan made it a point that everyone must speak. Also in defining some new words, he didn't directly give the English equivalent...unless required. Instead, he explained in French, until we got the exact sense of the word/ phrase. He was also quite patient with us students. It was a great experience. I have certainly gained from this Atelier. Thanks to M. Riian & Bijal for giving us this opportunity.

I worked closely with Bijal Menon at the IATF Idole Indienne event and was extremely impressed with the way she worked very sincerely to motivate more than 30 children to participate in it. The event was a grand success and Bijal was later selected to visit Nice on a Scholarship thus the idea of Indo French Hub was born. Bijal has already taken a few groups of students on Exchange Programs and Educational and Cultural visits to France in the past year. We wish her all the best and every success in this new venture of hers, which I am sure will contribute greatly to increasing the love of the French language and culture both among French students and Teachers, thanks to the various programs arranged by her and her team.

Linguistic Stay
When I was president of the IATF, the Fédération Internationale des Professeurs de Français invited all its 186 member associations to propose the name of one member of their association for a week’s scholarship at AzurLingua Language School. I chose Bijal Menon for her dynamism and dedication. She was one of the 15-20 teachers chosen for this programme in July 2016. Bijal did the IATF proud during her short stay in Nice and was named the “ambassadrice” of the school in India.

Decided to take my first trip to France with Indo-French Hub for a training program of 10 days. Before leaving, I was blank and clueless about how my organiser (Bijal Menon) would be... I went for an experience of 10 days to taste the culture I’ve been in and have been a part and parcel for the past 11 years. Didn’t know, would be bringing back a bag full of memories and above all meeting this hyperactive and beautiful soul... Bijal love you for all that you have done in these 10 days.. I came for a professional encounter and have come back with a friend for life and a partner in crime. ‘Thank you’ stands very small for the bonding we shared and the time we spent.. looking forward to a great friendship ahead!
